New Year – 5 Simple Reslutions All Pakistanis Should Make!

Posted on 01 January 2012 by Tea Server

This is a VERY short but meaningful post for the New Year! :) Explanations have been deliberately omitted for brevity and simplicity.

————–

Everyone makes bright plans and resolutions for himself/herself as the new year approaches. The practice is effective if followed properly; it helps them improve themselves and live more comfortably.

But apart from the personal resolutions which you all must have made, why not make some SIMPLE but highly valuable resolutions for the good of our homeland Pakistan?

The 5 resolutions given below, though exceedingly simple, will surely do wonders for Pakistan if you follow them well!

1. Say “No” to Provincialism; and “Yes” to Nationalism.
Eliminate provincialsm from your heart.

2. Put an end to racism and hate-promoting factors e.g. sms campaigns against certain casts, people and races; jokes are jokes only when they don’t hurt anyone.

(Note: We have emphasized these points in detail in other articles by us.

3. Keep your homeland clean, make a small habit to not throw trash/wrappers or anything at all on the roads.

4. Speak up against what is wrong and try to change it: violence, injustice, child abuse, racism etc.

5. Convey the beneficial points you discover/learn to everyone you know. Spreading your enlightenment is necessary to bring about change on a huge scale.

I request you to keep these points in your mind at all times! :)

In the end, the Absolute Verdict Team wishes all the readers a very happy new year! May you all achieve all your noble desires and play your role in Pakistan’s rise! :)

Thanks for being with us! :)
Best wishes!

2012

Posted on 31 December 2011 by Tea Server

It’s finally here, 2012. The Mayans would have you believe that we’re headed towards something apocalyptic . But that’s not a very positive way to start the new year. So instead I leave you with a prayer. May this year be all that you’re hoping for, and more. May you find peace and happiness, and leave your mark of change. May you discover joy in every breath of nature, and find wisdom in unexpected places. And lastly, may you be a source of solace for everyone around you.

Every year, we make lists. Scribbles and scrolls of what we hope we’ll accomplish as we turn a new page in the book of life. Some feature on lists every year, like losing weight and eating healthier. Others are more personal. Last year Time Magazine had a list of the most popular resolutions (Top 10 Commonly Broken New Year’s Resolution):

Every year I start with lofty personal aims for the new year, most of them similar to the list above. But like a cartoon I read suggested, New Year Resolutions tend to be a “to-do list for the first week of January” for the most part. So for 2012, I’ve decided that I don’t need a list. Here’s to a spontaneous, unpredictable year. No lists, and no planning.

Happy New Year everyone :) .
