For the first time in Pakistan, Mobilink Jazz introduces “Pay As You Go” calling. Jazz per second charging is a promotional offer that allows Jazz users to call at 2 paisas (+tax) per second to any network in Pakistan. This comes is right after Ufone has offered a 10 second pulse package.

How to subscribe to Jazz per second charging?

Simply dial *222# to subscribe to this new offer and get only charged for the number of seconds you are on the phone. The offer is valid till 10^th  Feb 2012.

Details:

• Daily subscription charges are Rs. 3.99+tax.
• The offer will be available for the entire prepaid base and on all packages.

First uncovered by Aamir Atta, Mobilink is caught copying. The whole concept of their latest and largely acclaimed TVC is very similar to an old AT&T commercial or you can say it is fully copied.

This is not the first time a copy act from cellular operators have come into notice, to name a few, we have had Jazz Jazba logo being copied and the ripped-off Djuice Revamp promotional video.

Two cases of attacks on telecom franchises have come in last two weeks. This is for the first time the telecom outlets are under attack for no obvious reasons.

In an attack on Telenor Franchise of Shadman Karachi, two employees of a telecommunication franchise were killed and two others were injured by armed men who entered the outlet and opened fire.

Very recently, cellular market leader, Mobilink’s Franchise of Hyderi area in North Nazimabad again in Karachi. This time two young men drove up to the outlet on a motorcycle and threw the device/grenade at it. Two security guards, Zafar and Younus, were wounded.

Who are the attackers and What is their real motive still remains a mystery. Investigations on both the cases have yet not been concluded but the possibility of both incidents to be related is also not overruled.

With the 3G on the edge and license auctions expected in March this year, these recent attacks have raised concerns on market stability for further investment in telecom sector.
