Are You A Kind Person?

Posted on 11 March 2012 by Tea Server

Kindness is a gift everyone afford to give.
Kindness is the most precious moral behaviour. Kindness is mixture of many other virtues like love, compassionate, sympathy, positive emotions, courtesy, affection and care. Kindness is important virtue to have, it makes you a moral human being, we show kindness through soft and  sincere words and actions.
Kindness is an act of love and care towards human, animal even nature.  A small act of kindness can make a big impact, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring these touched our life deeply. Kindness brings peace and happiness in our life, society and also in our world, it improves good relationship with those who are around us.
Kindness makes you a friendly, sensitive and sincere person who feel hurt of other and always ready to help, comfort and encourage people in many ways. It gives you peace of mind.

Allah orders us to treat people with kindness, being kind means giving love, respect, help, speaking kind words, mercy and truthfulness to all fellow human beings.
“Do good to parents, and to relatives and orphans, and the needy, and the near neighbour and the distant neighbour and the companion of your side and the wayfarer and to your male and female servants. Undoubtedly, Allah loves not the proud, boastful.   Surah An-Nisaa : Ayat 36

Islam teaches that kindness should extend not only to other people but also to the all creatures, to treat all animals, birds, sea creatures, and insects with mercy and sympathies to them and not harming them.
Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)  clearly said that the practise of cutting tails and manes of horses, of branding animals at any soft spot and of keeping horses saddled unnecessarily.

The Prophet preached us to show kindness to all living souls.

“Fear God with regard to animals”, said the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), “ride them when they are fit to be ridden, and get off their backs when they are tired; surely, there are rewards for being kind and gentle to animals, and for giving them water to drink.”

Kindness  is key to heart.
When we are filled with kindness, we are not judgmental.
When you put some kindness into the world, you’ll like
 what the world gives back.
Nothing is more precious in this world than kindness.
Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.

Dreams And Courage

Posted on 04 March 2012 by Tea Server

Failure is the road to success.
Many times in life we put off our dreams and goals, because we afraid of failure and give up trying. When we look successful people, their success has nothing to do with only luck at all. Indeed behind their success is hard work, taking risk, making mistakes and seeking benefit out of all. Life is all about taking risks. More failures mean more lessons and failure gives more chances.
If you try and fail don’t give up, just take the lessons learn and try again.
If we let the fear of failure stand in our way then we can not achieve our dream life because fear of failure destroys success. Have courage to follow your dreams and believe that you can make your dreams come true. Our dreams that give our lives meaning. We have to fill our life with energy and passion. And to gather the courage to live life to its fullest, willing to take risks in life and grab for our dreams, for this we have to set goals and then work towards making those goals a reality. Willing to make our dreams come true this requires courage. On the behalf of courage along with appropriate planning and making on time and necessary decisions we can get our ideal goal.

Do You Have Right To Judge Others?

Posted on 26 February 2012 by Tea Server

Happy is the person who finds fault with himself instead of finding fault with others.
I really feel bad whenever I see people comment on post’s of facebook pages that are about affairs of famous  personalities those belong to electronic media or politics etc. I don’t know why people feel eager to comment in more biased way and use cheapest words for them, don’t they know who are we to poke our nose into their matters or to judge them badly and gossip about their life; that why they do this and that. We are not judge and jury, it’s arrogant to judge anybody. We don’t know their whole story so why we assume. To me it’s not freedom of speech but judging others unfairly. After all no one  enjoys to being judged.
All things, big and small, invite our judgement. The condition of the weather, political matters, the taste of food, a television programs and actors etc. Judgement mostly mostly stands on criticism we should take a step back and realize our judgements aren’t always right. A great deal of our judging of others is mis-judging or unjust judging. It’s wrong to judge people unfairly.
Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself.

We all know that we are not allowed to judge others, but sadly; judging other people is our random activity, we’re all guilty of judging other people. We all are addicted to judge people who are around us, we are quick to judge other people about their attitude, looks, dressing, race, creed, sexuality, political orientation, social status, life style or anything else . In front of them we become gentle towards them, pretend to express love, affection and behind their back we brutally judge them even in front of them scold and nag them with harsh words try to tear apart their whole personality, their confidence and their image.

The act of judgement is an act of pride because judging others energize pride. We put ourselves above other people when we make judgement about them. We think we know others intentions or we know where their heart stands. It’s stupid. And it only brings us down.
Some people are insecure and feel good by judging (gossip, criticise, belittle others & finding faults) others and making fun of others to satisfy their own inner and try to cover their own weaknesses and insecurities.

We all know deep down inside we can’t really judge another person.

Making own judgement about others means we form a standard of our choice and make rules for them to follow. Individually we all are complex creatures and unique. Everyone of us has different  nature, own ways and rules to spend his/her life, we all have different situations & backgrounds, different experiences, different challenges. We have to accept the fact that everyone has a story and everyone has free will to decide what they want to do, how they want to live their life.

Any judgement we make has no basis, Allah is the Judge and He will judge the people for indeed we do not know what is in the hearts of others, rather Allah knows what is in the breasts of mankind.

Islam demands fairness and impartiality when it comes to judging others. Talking about other people on the basis of mere suspicion or hearsay and making wrong judgement and assumption is forbidden.
Allah says in Quran:
‘O believers! Stand-up firmly by the Commandments of Allah, bearing witness with justice and let not the enmity of any people incite you that you should not do justice. Do justice that is nearer to piety and fear Allah, undoubtedly, Allah is aware of your doings. Surah Al-Maidah : Ayat 8

The hypocrite looks for faults, the believer looks for excuses.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace and salutations be upon him) said, “Should you become eager to mention another’s faults, recall your own.”  (Ar-Rafi)

The one better thing what can we do is to have the default assumption about other people in any matter and we should fix, support, help, guide and teach each other to become better people.

God: A Love Born of Faith

Posted on 21 February 2012 by Tea Server

When do you know someone is listening to your prayers? When was the last time you knew the sorrow you carried in your fragile heart was incurable by every single doctor, surgeon or expert that walks on the face of this planet? Some things are granted by God alone. Like hearing the unsaid, like ridding your heart of fear, like giving you the strength of staying strong, like gifting you the courage to say the bitter truth, like holding your heart when it can easily turn cold, like holding you by your finger and it becomes your lifeline to sanity… like cradling you through nights no one knows you’ve cried. God and God alone lets you be the best you can be.

And likewise, some things only God knows. He gives you a protected life as a child, with loving parents who watch over you and protect you from all troubles. And when you grow up, God gives you one little bump at a time till you have wings to fly, till your faith becomes so strong you needn’t anything else. God and God alone shapes you in the person you are meant to be by teaching you, showing you, loving you, testing you and then rewarding you.

My faith in people has been shaken not because people were untrustworthy, but because only one faith exists in this Universe and that is the faith in Allah. You and I may have different notions for what that Higher Being is but we all look in the same direction, we all look for the same faith, at the same sky. When my heart could turn icy cold, He held in in His Mighty Hands and kept it warm so many painful times. The thinnest chord that led me to Him was the strongest. He taught me, showed me, tested me and then, I believe, He decided to reward me. My heart blooms with His warmth. My faith in Him is my lifeline.

I wish you all a life of Faith, Belief, Love and Miracle that only God can create. Stay blessed.

What Makes Anyone A Hero (story)

Posted on 15 February 2012 by Tea Server

This Monday afternoon, I was walking back from a bank where I had some work. On my way back, there were few cars parked on the service road (frontage road) when I heard the sound of breaking glass.

It was a guy, who broke the door glass of a parked car to get the laptop + bag out. While his friend was on motorcycle ready to leave any second. When the guy near car saw me turning back, he signaled me to go back. But I kept advancing carefully.

The guy felt nervous, left the laptop bag in the car, and escaped on the bike with his friend.

Now I had no idea, where is the car owner. As there were couple of big buildings around and he could be in any of them. I thought to wait and guard his valuable bag and other stuff in the car. Actually I was afraid those guys can come back to take the bag. I waited for 30 min till the owner came.

When I was waiting, the idea of stealing came into my mind too. One of the major reasons was, I badly want and need a laptop.

I have no laptop of my own, this one which I am using now is of my friend Sidra and she is so nice to give it to me. But yes she needs it back too.

It was not just the thought of stealing came into my mind. Then I said to myself, “This laptop is very valuable to the owner as well, and he needs it to work on it too. So honestly return this property back to whoever is the owner.”

It is so nice now to think about what I decided, I felt like a hero after this. In fact some of my friends said this too. But believe me, it is ain’t so easy. And at the same time, it ain’t so difficult.

Later that evening, I got many good words from my friend and a very encouraging phone call from mom. That is the best reward.

Here is the response to my Facebook status update:

Click on the screenshot to friend me on Facebook.

Let’s close it, so what makes us a hero.

1. I and you are always surrounded with the thoughts of being selfish and taking share of someone’ else. What matter is the patience, believing that earned is always better than the given.

2. If someone asks me, who is the most special person in the world. I would say that is me. Everyday I go against myself, to go with myself.

I am a hero!

Did you know you are a hero too?

These ubber cute series  began as a series of little love notes that Kim Grove drew for her future husband, Roberto Casali. Kim Casali died in June 1997. Since then, her son Stefano Casali has maintained the strip although it is always shown as “by Kim Casali” and signed “Kim” instead of Stefano.

“Love Is…” has been translated in many languages.

APPEAL TO ALL PAKISTANIS! – “Unity, Faith, Discipline”, Do we follow Quaid’s Message?

Posted on 28 December 2011 by Tea Server

Introduction:

“Unity, Faith, Discipline” – this was the motto of our national hero, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Pakistan was built on the cardinal principles of these three words, and Pakistan is to survive on these three words. But today, do we follow our Quaid’s words? Have we got what it takes to survive? This post is an appeal to the reader, to ponder over and to understand the depth of the issue, and to spread his/her enlightenment and understanding to others.
 _________________________________________________
Unity – a great force and a vital necessity is sadly lacking to a great extent among the Pakistanis. Division due to racism, provincialism and language are ever so high. Prior to our independence of Pakistan, nearly 200 years of torment were required to make us realize the necessity of unity. In the present crises, we need unity more than ever, and we should surely not turn a blind eye to our past experiences.
For the good of our nation, we urge you dear reader, to understand the need for unity AND convey it to all those who you see suffering from the poison of racism, provincialism and other elements causing division. Mere understanding is not enough; you need to spread the message as is your duty as a Pakistani. (This includes practically shunning hate-promoting factors like Pathan jokes, etc, read our post here: http://absoluteverdict.blogspot.com/2011/10/all-pakistanis-please-put-end-to-jokes.html)
In the words of our Quaid, Muhammad Ali Jinnah:
“We are now all Pakistanis–not Baluchis, Pathans, Sindhis, Bengalis, Punjabis and so on–and as Pakistanis we must feet behave and act, and we should be proud to be known as Pakistanis and nothing else.” (Reply to the Civic Address presented by the Quetta Municipality on 15th June, 1948.)
“Yet this is a truth people so easily seem to forget and begin to prize local, sectional or provincial interests above and regardless of the national interests. It naturally pains me to find the curse of provincialism holding sway over any section of Pakistan. Pakistan must be rid of this evil.” (Reply to the Civic Address presented by the Quetta Municipality on 15th June, 1948)
__________________________________________________
Faith – referring to both – our religious values, and the essence of hope that drives our struggles -is also a vital necessity for us in this time. We should not despair and give up hope (as we see most people when it comes to Pakistan). People seem to think that Pakistan can not be brought back to the right track and everything they do for it will go in vain. They are WRONG!
Understand this fact, dear readers, and never give up your hope for Pakistan if you truly are a patriot.
_________________________________________________
Discipline – a system of rules of conduct, or a method of practice – is also of utmost importance. A regiment or any army without discipline is a mere mob. We should organize ourselves with discipline in our struggles to bring about changes in Pakistan.
“In our solidarity, unity and discipline lie the strength, power and sanction behind us to carry on this fight successfully. No sacrifice should be considered too great….” (Broadcast Message February, 1948)
“Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students, who are nation builders of tomorrow. They must fully equip themselves by discipline, education, and training for the arduous task lying ahead of them.”
____________________________________________________

Unity, faith, and discipline, although are strong words on their own, but neither word taken alone can help us take Pakistan to its destiny of greatness. For us to bring about any meaningful change in Pakistan, these three words have to be taken together as a single entity. Together, these three words form the spirit of the Quaid, with which he achieved the impossible.
_______________________________________
THE LAST WORDS:
I hope, dear readers, that you will not take this post merely as an article for reading, but shall act upon it to take our beloved Pakistan to the greatness that the Quaid dreamed of! (as he expressed below)
“I have full faith in my people that they will rise to every occasion worthy of our past Islamic history, glory and traditions.” (14 Aug 1948)
“Remember! We are building up a State which is going to play its full part in the destinies of the whole Islamic World.” (12th April, 1948)
In the light of all the above facts, consider what we wrote your duty as a Pakistani, and do it with good faith! Best wishes! :)
“I can assure you that there is nothing greater in this world than your own conscience and, when you appear before God, you can say that you performed your duty with the highest sense of integrity, honesty and with loyalty and faithfulness.” (Broadcast Message February, 1948)

Assha’bul Ukhdood

Before the advent of Islam, there was a good king Bakht Nasar who ruled a large kingdom in Yemen. He was also a believer. His kingdom was serene and peaceful. But, after his death, Dhu Nuwas took over his kingdom. Dhu Nuwas was evil and corrupted. Dhu Nuwas, the last Himyarite King of Yemen, by religion a Jew, who persecuted the Christians of Najran and is, said to have burnt them to death. He seems to have lived in the latter half of the sixth Christian century, in the generation immediately preceding the Prophet’s birth in 570 A.D. He established a new religion, which made him the God. Whenever the people rebelled or protested, he made his sorcerer demonstrate his ‘magic powers’. By his magical tricks the people got scared thus didn’t revolt against the king. The sorcerer felt that he was getting old and needed an apprentice. Therefore, the king held a competition to find the perfect student for the sorcerer. The winner was a poor boy about 15 years old. Every day, he went to the king’s palace to get training from the sorcerer. This continued for a very long time. One day, the boy took a different route to the palace. The boy heard a beautiful voice while he was passing by a cave. The boy was drawn to this lovely sound and went into the cave. The person who was reciting holy verses was a religious monk. The boy asked what he was reciting. The monk offered to teach him that Allah is the supreme power and all praise is to Allah.
The boy went to the monk’s cave to be taught truthful ethics in the morning, and to the palace afterwards to learn black magic from the sorcerer every day. One day, on his way to the palace, he saw a huge, sleeping beast blocking the road. Since he lived on a mountain, there was no way around it. There was also a large crowd looking for a way around it. They knew that he could somehow move the beast. So the boy tried witchcraft first. It didn’t work. Therefore, he made dua’a to Allah (S.W.T.). It was something along these lines:
“O Allah, if the path of the monk is right, then let me kill this beast with this pebble.”
After saying this, he threw the pebble at the beast. The beast died. Now he was sure that the path of Allah (S.W.T.) was correct.
He stopped going to the palace to learn sorcery. He spent all of his spare time learning from the monk. The king got outraged because the boy stopped going to the palace to work as the king’s sorcerer. People felt his absence too. Therefore when they met him they asked him to solve their problems and cure them. He refused to cure, rather told them to make dua’a. One of the King’s courtiers was blind, so he went to the boy to get his vision back. The boy told him to make dua’a. The courtier got his sight back after dua so instantly became a believer. The King noticed the courtier’s eyesight and asked him how he got his eyes cured. The old man told the King that “my lord cured me.” The King was furious. “I didn’t cure you”, he roared. The old courtier smiled and said, “No, Allah cured me.” The King tortured him more to know who told him about Allah. The courtier told him about the boy. The King sent guards for the boy. The boy was tortured to find out who told him about Allah (S.W.T.). The King found out about the monk. The King ordered that the monk and the courtier be cut in half headfirst in front of the boy. The two deaths shook the boy. His closest friend and an innocent courtier were murdered right in front of him.
The King asked the boy to turn away from Islam. When the boy refused, the King ordered his guards to take the boy up to the highest mountain and toss him down. After reaching the tip the guards told him that he had two choices – to die or to turn away from Islam. The boy chose none and instead, he made dua’a to Allah (S.W.T.) to save him in any way He wishes. Allah sent a giant gust of wind that blew off the guards. They fell to their deaths. The boy was tired and sore, but still alive. He could have escaped; he went back to the palace. The moment the boy walked in King knew something was wrong. “Where are the guards? He asked.” The guards are dead.
The boy asked the king to turn to Islam, but the King declined. The King was angrier than ever before. He yelled for his guards to do something even more horrid. The boy was put in a boat and sent far out to sea. The journey was lengthy and dangerous. He was asked the same question. Turn away from Islam, or die. Again, the answer was none. The boy made dua. Suddenly there was a massive storm. Giant waves crashed against the craft. Soon the boat broke by a mammoth wave. Both of the guards drowned, but the boy grabbed on to a piece of wood and drift back to the shore. The boy went back to the King. King got really crazy. He was desperate to kill the boy. The boy asked the king again: “Will you turn to Islam?” The king refused.
So the boy asked the King to gather as many townspeople as he could. Then, tie the boy to a tree. Lastly the King must say loudly before shooting:
“In the name of the Lord of the boy”
So, with the boy all tied up and an arrow notched, the king shoots. As he didn’t say the words so the arrow flew but missed the boy. The people were stunned. When the king said the words, “In the name of the Lord of the boy” and shot again, the boy was killed. The people realized that the King, their god, couldn’t even kill without saying “In the name of the Lord of the boy.” So the people began to revolt. They chanted “We believe in the Lord of the boy” The King ordered for a giant pit to be dug with wood to put it on fire. Every person was asked the same question; to turn away from Islam, or die. Every single one of them chose death. That day was incredibly sad. Almost 20,000 people died. But it was happy too. That day, 20,000 people went to heaven. Those entire upright and true believers are mentioned as Assha’bul Ukhdood in Soora Al-Buruj aayut no.4 in holy Quran. May Allah help us lead a virtuous life. Amen
