“Love is…” is a famous comic strip created by New Zealand artist Kim Grove in the late 1960s. Later they were produced by Stefano Casali. These ubber cute series  began as a series of little love notes that Kim Grove drew for her future husband, Roberto Casali. Kim Casali died in June 1997. Since then, her son Stefano Casali has maintained the strip although it is always shown as “by Kim Casali” and signed “Kim” instead of Stefano.

“Love Is…” has been translated in many languages.

O’ Lord!

Posted on 27 January 2012 by Tea Server

Our Lord !

surely we have heard a preacher calling to the faith,
saying: Believe in your Lord, so we did believe;

Our Lord !
forgive us therefore our faults,
and cover our evil deeds and make us die with the righteous.
Our Lord !
grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter,
and save us from the chastisement of the fire.

Our Lord !
Accept From Us ;
Surely Thou Art The Hearing, The Knowing

APPEAL TO ALL PAKISTANIS! – “Unity, Faith, Discipline”, Do we follow Quaid’s Message?

Posted on 28 December 2011 by Tea Server

Introduction:

“Unity, Faith, Discipline” – this was the motto of our national hero, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Pakistan was built on the cardinal principles of these three words, and Pakistan is to survive on these three words. But today, do we follow our Quaid’s words? Have we got what it takes to survive? This post is an appeal to the reader, to ponder over and to understand the depth of the issue, and to spread his/her enlightenment and understanding to others.
 _________________________________________________
Unity – a great force and a vital necessity is sadly lacking to a great extent among the Pakistanis. Division due to racism, provincialism and language are ever so high. Prior to our independence of Pakistan, nearly 200 years of torment were required to make us realize the necessity of unity. In the present crises, we need unity more than ever, and we should surely not turn a blind eye to our past experiences.
For the good of our nation, we urge you dear reader, to understand the need for unity AND convey it to all those who you see suffering from the poison of racism, provincialism and other elements causing division. Mere understanding is not enough; you need to spread the message as is your duty as a Pakistani. (This includes practically shunning hate-promoting factors like Pathan jokes, etc, read our post here: http://absoluteverdict.blogspot.com/2011/10/all-pakistanis-please-put-end-to-jokes.html)
In the words of our Quaid, Muhammad Ali Jinnah:
                “We are now all Pakistanis–not Baluchis, Pathans, Sindhis, Bengalis, Punjabis and so on–and as Pakistanis we must feet behave and act, and we should be proud to be known as Pakistanis and nothing else.” (Reply to the Civic Address presented by the Quetta Municipality on 15th June, 1948.)
                “Yet this is a truth people so easily seem to forget and begin to prize local, sectional or provincial interests above and regardless of the national interests. It naturally pains me to find the curse of provincialism holding sway over any section of Pakistan. Pakistan must be rid of this evil.” (Reply to the Civic Address presented by the Quetta Municipality on 15th June, 1948)
__________________________________________________
Faith – referring to both – our religious values, and the essence of hope that drives our struggles -is also a vital necessity for us in this time. We should not despair and give up hope (as we see most people when it comes to Pakistan). People seem to think that Pakistan can not be brought back to the right track and everything they do for it will go in vain. They are WRONG!
Understand this fact, dear readers, and never give up your hope for Pakistan if you truly are a patriot.
_________________________________________________
Discipline – a system of rules of conduct, or a method of practice – is also of utmost importance. A regiment or any army without discipline is a mere mob. We should organize ourselves with discipline in our struggles to bring about changes in Pakistan.
                “In our solidarity, unity and discipline lie the strength, power and sanction behind us to carry on this fight successfully. No sacrifice should be considered too great….” (Broadcast Message February, 1948)
                “Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students, who are nation builders of tomorrow. They must fully equip themselves by discipline, education, and training for the arduous task lying ahead of them.”
____________________________________________________

Unity, faith, and discipline, although are strong words on their own, but neither word taken alone can help us take Pakistan to its destiny of greatness. For us to bring about any meaningful change in Pakistan, these three words have to be taken together as a single entity. Together, these three words form the spirit of the Quaid, with which he achieved the impossible.
_______________________________________
THE LAST WORDS:
I hope, dear readers, that you will not take this post merely as an article for reading, but shall act upon it to take our beloved Pakistan to the greatness that the Quaid dreamed of! (as he expressed below)
                “I have full faith in my people that they will rise to every occasion worthy of our past Islamic history, glory and traditions.” (14 Aug 1948)
                “Remember! We are building up a State which is going to play its full part in the destinies of the whole Islamic World.” (12th April, 1948)
In the light of all the above facts, consider what we wrote your duty as a Pakistani, and do it with good faith! Best wishes! :)
                “I can assure you that there is nothing greater in this world than your own conscience and, when you appear before God, you can say that you performed your duty with the highest sense of integrity, honesty and with loyalty and faithfulness.” (Broadcast Message February, 1948)

Assha’bul Ukhdood

Before the advent of Islam, there was a good king Bakht Nasar who ruled a large kingdom in Yemen. He was also a believer. His kingdom was serene and peaceful. But, after his death, Dhu Nuwas took over his kingdom. Dhu Nuwas was evil and corrupted. Dhu Nuwas, the last Himyarite King of Yemen, by religion a Jew, who persecuted the Christians of Najran and is, said to have burnt them to death. He seems to have lived in the latter half of the sixth Christian century, in the generation immediately preceding the Prophet’s birth in 570 A.D. He established a new religion, which made him the God. Whenever the people rebelled or protested, he made his sorcerer demonstrate his ‘magic powers’. By his magical tricks the people got scared thus didn’t revolt against the king. The sorcerer felt that he was getting old and needed an apprentice. Therefore, the king held a competition to find the perfect student for the sorcerer. The winner was a poor boy about 15 years old. Every day, he went to the king’s palace to get training from the sorcerer. This continued for a very long time. One day, the boy took a different route to the palace. The boy heard a beautiful voice while he was passing by a cave. The boy was drawn to this lovely sound and went into the cave. The person who was reciting holy verses was a religious monk. The boy asked what he was reciting. The monk offered to teach him that Allah is the supreme power and all praise is to Allah.
The boy went to the monk’s cave to be taught truthful ethics in the morning, and to the palace afterwards to learn black magic from the sorcerer every day. One day, on his way to the palace, he saw a huge, sleeping beast blocking the road. Since he lived on a mountain, there was no way around it. There was also a large crowd looking for a way around it. They knew that he could somehow move the beast. So the boy tried witchcraft first. It didn’t work. Therefore, he made dua’a to Allah (S.W.T.). It was something along these lines:
“O Allah, if the path of the monk is right, then let me kill this beast with this pebble.”
After saying this, he threw the pebble at the beast. The beast died. Now he was sure that the path of Allah (S.W.T.) was correct.
He stopped going to the palace to learn sorcery. He spent all of his spare time learning from the monk. The king got outraged because the boy stopped going to the palace to work as the king’s sorcerer. People felt his absence too. Therefore when they met him they asked him to solve their problems and cure them. He refused to cure, rather told them to make dua’a. One of the King’s courtiers was blind, so he went to the boy to get his vision back. The boy told him to make dua’a. The courtier got his sight back after dua so instantly became a believer. The King noticed the courtier’s eyesight and asked him how he got his eyes cured. The old man told the King that “my lord cured me.” The King was furious. “I didn’t cure you”, he roared. The old courtier smiled and said, “No, Allah cured me.” The King tortured him more to know who told him about Allah. The courtier told him about the boy. The King sent guards for the boy. The boy was tortured to find out who told him about Allah (S.W.T.). The King found out about the monk. The King ordered that the monk and the courtier be cut in half headfirst in front of the boy. The two deaths shook the boy. His closest friend and an innocent courtier were murdered right in front of him.
The King asked the boy to turn away from Islam. When the boy refused, the King ordered his guards to take the boy up to the highest mountain and toss him down. After reaching the tip the guards told him that he had two choices – to die or to turn away from Islam. The boy chose none and instead, he made dua’a to Allah (S.W.T.) to save him in any way He wishes. Allah sent a giant gust of wind that blew off the guards. They fell to their deaths. The boy was tired and sore, but still alive. He could have escaped; he went back to the palace. The moment the boy walked in King knew something was wrong. “Where are the guards? He asked.” The guards are dead.
The boy asked the king to turn to Islam, but the King declined. The King was angrier than ever before. He yelled for his guards to do something even more horrid. The boy was put in a boat and sent far out to sea. The journey was lengthy and dangerous. He was asked the same question. Turn away from Islam, or die. Again, the answer was none. The boy made dua. Suddenly there was a massive storm. Giant waves crashed against the craft. Soon the boat broke by a mammoth wave. Both of the guards drowned, but the boy grabbed on to a piece of wood and drift back to the shore. The boy went back to the King. King got really crazy. He was desperate to kill the boy. The boy asked the king again: “Will you turn to Islam?” The king refused.
So the boy asked the King to gather as many townspeople as he could. Then, tie the boy to a tree. Lastly the King must say loudly before shooting:
“In the name of the Lord of the boy”
So, with the boy all tied up and an arrow notched, the king shoots. As he didn’t say the words so the arrow flew but missed the boy. The people were stunned. When the king said the words, “In the name of the Lord of the boy” and shot again, the boy was killed. The people realized that the King, their god, couldn’t even kill without saying “In the name of the Lord of the boy.” So the people began to revolt. They chanted “We believe in the Lord of the boy” The King ordered for a giant pit to be dug with wood to put it on fire. Every person was asked the same question; to turn away from Islam, or die. Every single one of them chose death. That day was incredibly sad. Almost 20,000 people died. But it was happy too. That day, 20,000 people went to heaven. Those entire upright and true believers are mentioned as Assha’bul Ukhdood in Soora Al-Buruj aayut no.4 in holy Quran. May Allah help us lead a virtuous life. Amen

Lower Your Gaze And Be Modest

Posted on 01 December 2011 by Tea Server

Allah (God) created us with desires and urges, He also revealed to us sufficient and complete guidance to properly channel these desires.

A Story Of A Muslim Brother and A Hospital Nurse
There was a companion of ours in Glasgow who became ill and was hospitalized. He was admitted for three days and on the fourth day the attendant nurse said, “Marry me”.
He [the brother in Glasgow] asked, “Why? I am a Muslim, you and I cannot become companions.”
She said, “I’ll become Muslim”.
“What’s the reason?” it was asked.
She said, “In all my time that I have served in hospitals, except you, I have never seen a man lower his gaze in front of a woman. In my life you are the first person who lowers his gaze when seeing a woman. I come, and you close your eyes. Such great modesty can be taught by none other than a true religion.”
The protection of one’s gaze entered Islam in her. She testified to the Oneness of Allah and became a Muslim. They both got married. By now, the same woman was and is the means of bringing so many other girls / women into Islam.
To beautify your eyes, lower your gaze towards strange men/women; this will make your eyes pure and shiny. Abstain from looking at what is haram (forbidden), looking at what only is halal.
Allah commands:
“Order the Muslim men to lower down their sights a little and to guard their private parts. This is cleaner for them, undoubtedly, Allah is Aware of their deeds.”
“And order the Muslim women to lower down their sights a little and guard their chastity;” Surah An-Nur: Ayat 30-31
Allah connects the issue of lowering the gaze with the issue of protecting the private parts (guarding one’s chastity) in above verses, and lowering the gaze is mentioned first, before protecting the private parts, because the eye influences the heart.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) further explained to us Allah’s command:
 Abu Hurayrah (May allah Be Pleased With Him)) narrated that the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said,
“(the adultery of the eyes is looking (at [that] which is not allowed). Bukhari, Muslim
On the authority of Jurayr (May allah Be Pleased With Him) who said, “I asked the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) about accidentally looking at something that is not allowed and he said, “Turn your eyes away.” Muslim

Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) commanded Hazrat Ali (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) “O Ali, do not give a second look, (because) while you are not to blame for the first, you have no right to the second.” Reported by At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawûd, and made good by At-Tirmidhi and Al-Albâni.
Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) said; “The glance is a poisoned arrow of Satan. Whoever lowers his gaze for Allah, He will bestow upon him a refreshing sweetness, which he will find in his heart on the day he meets Him.” [Mishkat]
Guard your eyes. They are the direct pathway to the sacred land of the heart.
O’Muslim Remember that the sweetness of Jannah is far sweeter than the sweetness of a lustful gaze.
When we are passing by a non-mahram on the street, office or school, Satan is constantly tempting us to glare at her/him with evil thoughts. Looking at another man or woman in an indecent manner is following in Satan’s footsteps. It all begins with a lustful glance. Such a glance leads to lustful talk and flirting, then meeting and we are all aware of what comes next.
Lowering gaze has wide meaning as moving your gaze, controlling gaze, moving your head, turn away to other place or completely turn your body, relocating gaze to less concentrated ares of fitna (the trials and temptations). With practice, following these precutions and the remembrance of Allah during tempting situations; will prevent us from getting stuck by devilish arrows.

More Prayers Less Worries

Posted on 18 November 2011 by Tea Server

Many times in life we pray, but we don’t receive specific answers to our prayers. There are many reason why we do not get our payers answered. And in the result we feel sick, broken, disappointed and defeated.
I think it is very important to understand that why our payers are unanswered and how to get answers to our prayers.

And your Lord said, ‘Pray to Me, I shall acknowledge your call. Undoubtedly those who are too proud to worship Me, soon will enter the Hell despised. Surah Al-Mu’min : Ayat 60

It is reported that Ibrâhîm Bin Adham (Allâh have mercy on him) once passed through the market of Basrah. People gathered around him and asked:
“O Abû Ishâq, Allâh the Exalted says in his Book. ‘Call on me, I will answer your prayers’, but we have been calling on Him for a long time and He does not answer our prayers.”
 Ibrâhîm replied,
“O people of Basrah, your hearts have died in respect to ten things:
First, you know Allâh but you do not give Him His rights;
Second, you have read Allâh’s Book (Quran) but you do not act by it;
Third, you claim to love Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – yet you abandon his Sunnah (life style of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him);
Fourth, you claim to be enemies to Shaytân (Satan) but you conform to [his ways];
Fifth, you say you love Paradise yet you do not work for it;
Sixth, you say you fear The Fire yet you put yourselves closer to it [by sinning];
Seventh, you say death is true but you do not prepare for it;
Eighth, you busy yourselves with the faults of others and disregard your own;
Ninth, you consume the favors of your Lord but are not grateful for them;
And tenth, you bury your dead but take no lesson from them.”

Many times it happens that Allah doesn’t answers our prayers because we don’t have a relationship with Allah (God).

First we have a strong relationship with Allah (God), then follow His commend and seek direction from Allah in every matter of life. Our will should obey His will. After developing a bond with Allah we feel comfortable while we come to Allah for our needs and concerns.
Prayer is not a magic button to escape that process. By compelling us to make an effort, Allah (God) gives us the means to truly grow and learn by sufferings. Allah answers all prayer, sometimes the answer is “no” I have a better plan for you, sometimes it is “not yet”, and other times the answer is “yes”. But most of the time we do not understand His intentions, His will and teachings due to our limited wisdom knowledge.
We must be sincere to Allah. If we become serious about a relationship with God, then we understand that God is always teaching us.
Payer is a natural part of relationship with Allah.

Don’t panic just pray:

Allah answer our every prayer but not in the way that we hope. Firm faith is what is required in prayer. Allah (God) hears the prayers of everyone. When someone does not receive an immediate, favorable answer from Allah (God), he or she then assumes that Allah (God) either didn’t hear the prayer or doesn’t care to answer. We must have trust on Allah’s integrity, His compassion, love, wisdom. Allah always gives us what is better for us. Allah answers different prayers in different ways,  He is aware of what is the best for us.
Think positive let every thought affirm that you have the answer to your prayer. Allah (God) is always there for your call (prayer). The lines are open. Toll-Free. Pick up the phone today.
