A tale that you hear

Posted on 03 January 2012 by Tea Server

Aaj koi chala hai saj ke piya nagarya re…
This, and so much more. In this land of clandestine emotions and traditions, we hold ourselves as guards to a secret, a tale – that only we want to hear, that only we want to be a part of. And I…I like that.
A tale that you hear
And the faces, a million faces
With the eagerness, and the hope
The sadness in their eyes
A million little jewels, each
A longing to make a pledge
A wish to blink and set it all right
A sand-castle, that was washed away
Like brides, dressed up, but in their eyes:
A momentary sliver of horrendous waiting
When they know, there will be an end
When they know, there will be water to wash it all away
But they still dance
They still frolic
Because in this peace, in this dance of ours
We see colours of red and yellow
Our clothes fly to cover our sorrows
We forget our worries, our little, nimble fingers
Move and erase
The scars in our hearts
The wounds in our minds
The soulful alaaps, they tend to vaporize
And bring out a being
Pure and brimming with nascent emotions
Emotions, like white birds, in the young Night
Ready to fly away and sleep when the Sun comes back
In this little conundrum or red, white and the blue skies
A little voice permeates the best of us
A sober, free call back to their senses
To hold onto dear life
To hold onto our human ties
Our spirits, awakened, set free
So long…

Lapse in Time

Posted on 01 January 2012 by Tea Server

On the eve of January the 31st, 2011, we took time lapse photos of the stars – finding their trails, looking up in the sky, wondering how much time would be ideal for a perfect shot. Time goes on, translating into a new year, a new way, a new curve in the cosmic reality that we behold in ourselves, hiding secrets, thinking about our ideals – really, time just goes on and on.

Do hazaar gyara. What a year.

Family, friends, things, obsessions, objectives, achievements, dejections, rejections, arrivals, moments, midnights, poetic ecstasy and so much more.

Just like the end of 2010 was a hallmark ending with my life taking a U-turn, turning me into something I had not known before, 2011 began with the same glory, the same me. It was the process of self-discovery, which I believe, reached its full high in 2011.

I lost some people, I gained some. I gained some very precious ones. I came unarmed into the arena for what was to come, unready, unassuming, unprepared. And it hit me, with forces that elevated me. They took me above, and high. At that point, that glory seemed like the only thing that mattered. The only thing that made me feel worthy of anything. I still take pride in those little moments lived in a day or two, because that was surreal. But I could not hold onto those ropes of assured success, simply because it was not in my hands. And my hands could not reach them; I just had to let them go. You get a taste of comforted vastness, and then it’s snatched away from you. Not because you were incompetent on anything, time and circumstances did not allow you to excel. And you look at your sorry state of affairs and wonder whether all of it was in vain. I look back and constantly remind myself: NO.

-those little moments of glory, I would forever cherish them
-I lost you, I think
-I gained a friend, and enemy, an enigma
-I bonded with previous ones
-a new life began
-the new life had its apprehensions and stories of success and denial, but its all good
-I realized what I truly was
-I gave way to more intellectual learning
-I tried to remain who I was
-I gave up on dejection, hope became central
-poetry defined me better than ever before
-this blog found its real home, my mind
-so much pain, and so much laughter
-Sparks
-this blog
-ourselves
-our egos
-our relationships

Ah, there is so much more to say.

THE MORN..

Posted on 27 December 2011 by Tea Server

on the spiky bed of dreams i slept

and woke up with a bleeding heart

the sheet was drenched in colors of whims

so was pillow jaded of burdens

of many a sleepless nights…

the bird when tweeted outside my window

i drew the curtain back

in the iris of its eyes was dancing a rainbow wild

it had plucked an iris flower and gave  the brightest smile

the morn had stretched its gold and the sun was frowning pale

the roads had laid their arms open and trees with lazy shades

stood tall and sloppy and blase’

day upon day and night upon night is a moment and no more

which stands stagnant  in eternal awe which rest in eternal pain

i closed the window pane and moved away from idol moment

my slippers torn and wings crumbled and my crazy ventures

all smiled at me with disdain

all smiled to my oblivion..

and wrecked my composure vain

Water to the slaves

Posted on 27 December 2011 by Tea Server

An idea stolen from a little spark I composed: a little thought, a little flash of inspiration and some good music to go with it. Like soldiers who come only to conquer, like the wind that comes only once and uproots everything, changing lives forever. Like love that happens only once in a lifetime, and never resurfaces again. That feeling, that push from the past, into the future. With no turning back, nothing from the past ensues, it is erased; gone. For places visited just for remembrance, but nothing to be gained out of it, nothing to be erased and nothing to be added. Those harsh survivals, those chords played in retrospect and then forgotten, let’s remember those once in a while.
Water to the slaves
With the thought that came
Came as an un-assuming sound
Like a mark-less hinge of thought
Took control, held drive of the voices we uttered.
Like swarms of flies that came once in a year
Like the Mexico in bloom from the Monarch butterflies
I breed this place like once in a year
Because often it hurts, stings to be here
So I come once in a while, and bring up a storm
To calm the rage
Within and without.
Hypnotized by the hazy dreams
The red-wine spills
And the turquoise coloured cloth hanging from the scratched walls
Those crumbling love-sounds
Dissolved in the acoustics of he world
Unsteady and stumbling.
Do I need to be here?
The memories are sweet,
The present, where is my sympathy?
Have I come here to be forgiven?
No, not now, not me.
Parched lips, looking for water
Blessings awaited, eyes look up
For when I came once, I pledged I would not be back again
Yet, we are here for more
Let’s light up this world,
Let’s colour it red, blue, orange and those colours you talked about
Let’s bring in the life, you talked about
Let’s shut the world outside, and build our own inside
This, this is not you
This, this is not us
This, this is not me.
And so we turn back
Our sympathies, gazing into the wine-spills
The cloth and its dismal fall accusing me of guilt, regrets
But I won’t go back on that road again
I won’t.
It ends; we have the world inside us
It lights up, it is enough to last me a lifetime.
It ends.

Dreams

Posted on 22 December 2011 by Tea Server

Those were the days when we realized our dreams

Floated boats on waves and geared up whirl pool

Heart beats in a particle when came to know

Formed hundred moons with a whirling star

Seen many skilled craftsmen in every phase

Having no dreams, fabricating silk

The entire temple, church, masjid, chapel probing

When did divine preachers dole out contaminant?

Due to glass n liquor, odor n music, Sahar

Few friends fashioned festive environment

MUSINGS..

Posted on 12 December 2011 by Tea Server

What have I known this phenomenon called life to be like… I keep thinking but cant say for sure. We breathe, we desire, we aspire, we fall and we rise, finally we know its time to bid farewell. We think and think… did we live a life, or did we live an illusion? Questions upon questions upon more of them and we know how to satiate the demons of dissatisfaction by falsified scores of our shallow achievements. Inwardly we know we could not realize many a dreams and the ones we did were no longer sating enough to keep boasting about for long, mundane aspirations for mundane lives. And then we leave heaving sighs about what we would have done more if we were granted a chance and not been denied our rights to be avid seekers of riches and fame.

And then there would be some for whom life never made any sense. A day lived in, a day lived out… a nexus of breathing in and breathing out tied with a structure of clay. A clay which is dirt sometimes or fire at others, which crumbles into fragments of light only to be sucked in the void of darkness without a trace, and sometimes it is nothingness extended within and without to all that there is or is not. It defies time and it denies confines imposed by space and it melts and seeps in every bit of consiousness collective or individual, to kiss new life or to embrace perfect annihilation.

In Shining Alley

Posted on 09 December 2011 by Tea Server

In shining alley partner to share dark nights
To be the one to share my improbability

While I tell him lies, he to tell me the truth
He to share all seasons of my temperament

I be inaccessible to him, he is to be mine
If I collapse he’s to be close to me to pits

He to be valued linking my forename
To share my disgrace from lane to lane

I see my own self; he’s to keep seeing me
He shares my instinctive covetousness

If he dreams, may dream concerning me
So to share my entire illustrative thought

If You can Dream It, You can Do It

Posted on 07 December 2011 by Tea Server

Fairy tales are for the romantic and the reality is for the one who experience love. I always heard that no one is too old for fairy tales. Most of the day dreamers live in fairy world, Never and, and love to dream than reality. like Audrey Hepburn, when she says:

If I’m honest I have to tell you I still read fairy-tales and I like them best of all.

Its Walt Disney’s birthday today, Walt Disney, who gave us the dream about the fairy tales. Who made us to think:

[Walt Disney Quotes]
1. All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
2. If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse.
3. When you’re curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.
4. We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
5. It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.
6. The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.
7. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.
In the memory of Walt Disney, Here we are sharing some of the Disney Princess.

The road less travelled by

Posted on 06 December 2011 by Tea Server

The day you choose to comply with the norms and give up on your dreams, no matter how extra-ordinary they are, you cease to live. You merely exist for the rest of your life, doing most of what the society asks you for, following that dull, monotonous routine of things well practiced, well tested and guaranteed as secure choices. And just like that, you pass away with a life that frankly was no different than billions of other beings. Continue reading »
