We quite often forget the importance of time. Even a moment has the potential to change everything. On the morning of September 11 ‘2001 a series of suicide attacks  were carried out on the United States of America. According to records.

Four airliners were hijacked and intentionally crashed in to ‘prime buildings’ in the united states. Two of the airliners were crashed  into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the building, causing both buildings to collapse within two hours, destroying at least two nearby buildings and damaging others. The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania, after some of its passengers and flight crew attempted to retake control of the plane, which the hijackers had redirected toward Washington, D.C. There are no known survivors from any of the flights.

The rampage that cost 2974 lives , caused the world to change forever.The aftermath of the attacks was a series of events that has cost millions of lives till date. The unfortunate deaths of the victims in the world trade center were among the first to die at the hands of barbarism at its very best. The response of the ‘world’s super power’ was to declare a ‘War on terror’. A war which made attacking innocent civilians in order to capture culprits ‘feared’ to be in the vicinity fair seeming.Afghanistan was the first to be  targeted, notorious for its dealing with Osama Bin laden, known to head the attacks. To care for the normal people of

 Afghanistan wasn’t a feeling Taliban’s were familiar with. After all they were born out of decades of power show and tribal wars. For the United states, Afghanistan seemed an easy target. Soon videos flashed on TV of confessions,negotiations,reluctance and retaliation. The land of Afghanistan bombarded day in day out. The talibans continued to  resist both the air strike and the cunningly triggered ‘khana jung’ (civil war).Afghanistan went on with destruction, havoc ,rape ,child abuse ,killings and NO SIGN OF OSAMA BIN LADEN. The next target was Iraq with the United states claim of hidden weapons of mass destruction. Again images flashed by confessions ,negotiations ,reluctance and retaliation. The weapons of Mass destruction that were never really recovered, at least Saddam was , with that Iraq changed forever.

Today the images we are very familiar  with speak out of all the violence against humanity. The violence that still goes on. The violence that  no religion,ethic,morality or culture teaches, after all these were made for humans to adapt, how can they be against humanity then?.The stroll down the memory lane is not a memory anymore the fight has began in our Edens too. The same images,mutilated bodies, blood everywhere, disaster and helplessness. The only difference is today the images depict Pakistan. Today we have experienced confessions and negotiations. Perhaps the hurdle with being reluctant is the fresh memory of the latter that will come with it. If nothing else we can find one moment today for ‘US’. A moment to ponder on what we are,have become and are going to be. For a ‘reality check’ and to find a way  to reinstate the sanctity of a moment when we embarked on a  journey as a ‘nation’. 14th august 1947 a moment to relive and heal our spirits.The  world has changed  and it shouts out the need for us to change too.To realize the importance of the time we have, and to ensure that we make the most out of this time in order to save our country from the barbaric rampage that has given the world a different face.
