Monthly stipnd for Fulbright-Assistantship

If I got assistantship in US while on fulbright PhD program, what happens to monthly stipend from Fulbright. e.g if fulbright give $1000 per month and assistantship in $ 2000 per month. What amount will I get? 1000 or 2000?
