I resolve…
March 9th, 2009.. to talk about Pakistan in a way that will promote a good image to the world abroad, highlighting in particular the cultural aspects that make it so special.
.. to convert 20 people to “solution based” thinking - instead of complaining about the problems in our country- i encourage discussing the issue at hand, and thinking about possible solutions - and writing them down! Because once you put the idea out there, there’s a good chance someone with the required finances and power will make it happen. Lets collectively work to make our country a better place - its a social responsibility.
If you are interested in joining the problem solving team- please leave me a note or comment. Thanks.
“6th March 2009, the day active bloggers in Karachi met again to discuss various issues affecting our nation online and offline, organized by Google Pakistan, CIO Pakistan and Wateen Telecom, turned out to be quite some resolutions and suggestions, thoughts and valuable brainstorming.” - Shehzad said it best . The event featured some of our favourite people - Ali K. Chisti (The strong arm of the law) , Awab Alvi (Dentist come activist) , Jehan Ara (P@SHA) , Rabia Garib (writer extrodinaire) , Badar Khushnood (profession can’t be mentioned cuz of “given disclaimer”)
, and Salaina Haroon (CIO Pakistan).
Blogger Activists unite.

Lets attract foreign people to us by giving them something they’re interested in! FAQ’s, know-how about various fields in the industry, information that goes beyond politics or bad news or terrorism. Let’s show them that slowly but surely we are developing and they can learn from us, just as we are interested in learning from them, as a civilised society.

We are planning a “National Bloggers Conference 2009″ very soon - maybe on the 21st of March, 2009. And I am sure it will be a step towards a right direction. I will try to keep everyone in a loop and an informal meeting before the conference will be held shortly.
