Many tried to give unusual twist to these stories countless times and yet the classic always prevails. There have been drama serials with unusual storylines and they failed to create an impression on the masses. Let me tell you why the average story of humsafar caught the hearts of hundreds and thousands (albeit, Fawad’s gorgeous smile that makes plenty swoon is a huge factor too) when unusual dramas don’t. People can relate to characters. There was chemistry between the lead characters that made them believable and so watchable. There was a depth, a spark in this otherwise average story. That’s why the serial just clicked among the masses.
